Swimply Web, iOS and Android Application
Kentech-U collaborated with Swimply to create an application that will rethink the way we stay cool over the summer!
Kentech-U partnered with Swimply to build a web and mobile platform that reimagines how people stay cool and enjoy private pools during the summer.
Our Client
Swimply engaged Kentech-U to create a marketplace that connects private pool owners with people looking to book a swim nearby. The platform allows users to reserve local, private pools by the hour—offering a unique, on-demand alternative to public pools.
The Goal
Swimply’s vision was to build a scalable, peer-to-peer marketplace for pool sharing that was intuitive and welcoming for first-time users. The platform needed to serve two distinct audiences: swimmers looking for private pool access and homeowners interested in renting out their pools.
In essence, Swimply set out to create an Airbnb-style experience for pools.
Our Plan & Process
Kentech-U collaborated closely with Swimply’s founders to define target users and design two core user journeys: Swimmers and Pool Owners. The platform was built to support listing and discovering pools, scheduling availability, approving or declining bookings, processing payments, and displaying user reviews.
To accelerate development and maintain consistency across platforms, we built the web, iOS, and Android applications using React Native. The solution was designed for scalability and performance, with infrastructure and deployment managed by Kentech-U’s DevOps team on AWS.
The Results
Swimply officially launched in 2019 and gained national attention in March 2020 when it was featured on Shark Tank. Since launch, the platform has continued to grow, helping users across the country discover and book private pool experiences.
The Swimply app is available on both iOS and Android.
